Tomlinson - Playoffs

Is it me, or does it seem that Tomlinson always has a reason to sit on the sidelines with his Helmet on and the Shaded visor on as his team trys to beat the Colts. Now it is a torn tenden in his Groin! Don't get me wrong, that is a hell of an injury. But can you say "The A-Rod of Football".

Tomlinson, try this next year, don't play a game in the regular season, so you can be healthy for the play-off game the Chargers will play in.

DePaul University Softball 2009 Season

Looks to be an exciting Season upcoming for the DePaul Blue Demon Ladies. With this season brings a more veteran look and experience to this team. Losing Sandy (Vojik), Marcy (Wilus) and Katie (Hanson) from the 2008 team will be a substantial lose.

Amber Patton (Senior - IF), Stephanie Blagaigh (Senior - OF) and Lauren Frankiewicz (Senior - P/DH) will provide the leadership that will be needed for a Championship run. This Line-Up will have speed, On-Base Percentage players along with Power Hitters in the middle of the line-up. Defensively they become a more seasoned team, after starting 7 Freshman off and on through out the season last year, those players should come into this season with more confidence to do the job that is necessary.

DePaul Ranking: Top 15 going into Tournament. Will make World Series Berth. After that no more predictions!

Cubs - World Series in 2009 ?????

Let's see, they are pretty much coming back with the same Starting Line-Up they had in 2008, Their Bullpen seems to have improved (even though they lost a good-very good closer in Kerry Wood), trying Marmol at Closer is the next progression for him and should do good-very good (just like Wood) in his role. The key acquistion on Gregg from Florida I think will help more then the normal fan might think.

Looking for a right Fielder/Left-Handed Power Hitter and a on-base precentage guy. We might just have him on the roster now - Fukodume! Yes, that is right Fuko will provide the on-base percentage they need this season, he will hit for more power (25 HRs) this season and bat around .310, can't ask for too much more then that. Adding a bat like Baldelli or Bradley will help, but more of a platoon role for each (aka Reed Johnson, Jim Edmonds last year).

Cubs in 2009: Win 2 Play-Off Series' - Lose in World Series to (Cleveland Indians)

Watch out for Cleveland, Yankees may have spent the money, but will fall short in the ALCS to Cleveland

Bulls - Vinny Del Negro

So far so good on the season for Vinny, I see lots of potential with his coaching style. He seems to know how to evaluate the talent he has and plays them up to their potential. Now, that being said, if we can only find someone to play a little Defense. Vinny's style seems to be built around the Offensive game, but we don't have much transition within the game plan. D Rose should be able to provide that once his defense improves, but down low is where it all needs to happen, block shots, fast break and layups (instead of jump shots) will make Vinnie's system work much better then it has so far.
